Directions: Find the errors in this brailled document. Use one of the two forms (see notes below) to submit your proof. Or, you can send your answers via email to rbroadnax@shodor.org. Make sure that you make your computer screen wide enough to see all the dots. This reading uses a 40-cell page!
NOTE: the text is provided for your reading. There are no errors in terms of blank lines between sections of braille, that is an artifact of my graphics editor. The lines you see in the brailled file are from Duxbury -- if someone knows how to turn those off, let me know!
There are 71 lines of braille in this document, not counting any blank lines. The form below provides you with 71 boxes with which to fill in the errors you find, on a line-by-line basis.
EXPERIMENTING THIS SESSION! Please comment on how well this works for you. In this session, you will see a button "Open Answer Form" below this instruction. If you click once on this button, a new window will open for you. If you have a large enough monitor, you should be able to put the brailled Web page and the answer form side-by-side, and do a line-by-line proof.
If your browser supports tables, you might wish to try the tables version. This version roughly lines up a line of braille with the answer box. How well this lines up depends on your browser, available fonts, and too many other variables to list!
If these two high-tech options do not work well for you (either technically or logistically), let me know (and I won't do it again!), and use the fill-in form at the bottom of this page.
Regardless of which form you use, I need your feedback. This type of form is the first step in trying to write code to do some grading automatically. If this step does not work or needs improvements, we need to know before we move to the next step. Thanks for your patience!
